Everyone has a multiplicity of loyalties. We are loyal to God, to country, to family, to church, to friends and to our employer. Under ideal circumstances these various loyalties are complimentary. Unfortunately, we do not live in an ideal world and events often conspire to bring our loyalties into conflict. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a hierarchy of loyalties to resolve these inevitable conflicts. The Scriptures teach that our highest loyalty belongs to God and God alone.
