The books that speak to you may not be the same ones that speak to me. That’s okay. The important thing is to find books that nourish your soul and call you to new life in Christ. The books that appeal to you will likely vary over time. On more than one occasion, I have started reading a highly recommended book only to lay it aside in frustration. Sometimes I will return to the same book later and find I cannot put it down. I am in a different season of life and now my soul literally resonates with the author’s message.

those who gain understanding.”
Lord, bless those writers who faithfully use the gifts you have given them. Amen.
