One of God’s characteristics is His absolute holiness. Exodus 15:11 asks,
“Who among the gods is like you, O Lord? Who is like you – majestic in holiness, awesome in glory, working wonders? Psalm 99:9 exhorts us to “Exalt the Lord our God and worship at his holy mountain, for the Lord our God is holy.” Isaiah 6:3 declares, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory.” Revelation 4:8 describes worship in heaven: “In the center, around the throne, were four living creatures….Day and night they never stop saying: ‘Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come.’”
Lord, reveal Your holiness that we may fall down and worship you. Amen.
