When it seems the storm is never going to end, you may be tempted throw in the towel. Don’t! God has a long history of intervening in the darkest hour, when the storm is at its height. That’s what He did for the disciples (Mark 6:45–51). All night they battled a fierce storm, fearing for their lives. Then, during the fourth watch of the night Jesus came to their rescue. Remember the Lord is greater than any storm you will ever face and He will deliver you!

“But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love, to deliver them from death and keep them alive in famine.”

— Psalm 33:18-19 (NIV)

Lord Jesus, give us faith to brave the storm, knowing that we are safe in the shelter of Your arms. In Your holy name we pray. Amen.
