The resurrection of Jesus Christ is a historical fact witnessed by more than 500 eye-witness (1 Corinthians 15:5-6). It is also a present reality. The risen Christ walks into the closed and locked rooms of our lives bringing hope and forgiveness. His resurrection power transforms us. Peter writes, “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead” (1 Peter 1:3). And it is our future hope. When He was resurrected Jesus defeated death, hell, and the grave. Because He lives we shall live also.
