The storms of life have three or four primary causes. If the storm you are currently in is simply a freak of nature batten down the hatches and ride it out. Ephesians 6:13 says, “Put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground. When the storm is caused by the onslaught of the enemy, you must stand strong against the evil one. James 4:7 says, “Resist the devil and he will flee from you.”

Lord Jesus, reveal the cause of this storm. If it is simply a freak of nature, strengthen us with might so we can remain strong until it blows over. If it is the direct attack of the enemy, help us to resist the devil. In Your holy name we pray. Amen.
