God has a long history of doing His best work in the worst of times. Take Moses for instance. He was born into slavery. To make matters worse his parents were ordered to kill him at birth (Exodus 1:16 & 22). At great risk to themselves, they defied Pharaoh’s edict and spared his life. Through a series of divinely orchestrated events baby Moses came to the attention of Pharaoh’s daughter who adopted him. As a result, Moses was educated in all the wisdom of the Egyptians (Acts 7:22). Think of it. God used the resources of Egypt to prepare Moses to deliver the Israelites from Egyptian bondage.
“Moses was educated in the best schools in Egypt. He was equally impressive as a thinker and an athlete.”
— Acts 7:22 (MSG)
Lord, thank You for using all things, even the enemy’s evil devises, to further Your purposes in our Lives. Amen.
