Do you have a special place where you meet with the Lord? Moses did. Exodus 33:7 says, “Now Moses used to take a tent and pitch it outside the camp some distance away, calling it the “tent of meeting.” His only reason for going there was to meet with the Lord. Over the years I’ve had several different “meeting” places. For some years it was Christian Chapel’s sanctuary, at other times it was the two-mile walking trail through Haikey Creek Park, then there was a loft I called the “upper room” at Emerald Pointe. The place is not nearly as important as the purpose. We go there for only one reason—to meet with the Lord.
“But those who wait on the Lord
— Isaiah 40:31 (NKJV)
Shall renew their strength…”
Lord Jesus, meet with us wherever we are. Amen.
