Make no mistake. When you are caught in a severe life storm the enemy wants you to feel overwhelmed. He wants you to lose heart and turn your back on the Lord. He wants you to leave the church and forsake your friends. He wants you to abandon your family and forsake your faith, but if you do, you will be lost. As the apostle Paul said, “Unless [you] stay with the ship you cannot be saved” (Acts 27:31).

Lord Jesus, we are at the end of our strength. There is absolutely nothing we can do to save ourselves. You are our only hope. Deliver us from this deadly peril. Command this storm to cease. In Your holy name we pray. Amen.
