Jesus’ most famous sermon is known as “The Sermon on the Mount” and it is recorded in Matthew chapters 5-7. It contains both the beatitudes and the Lord’s prayer, plus teachings regarding murder, adultery, judging others, loving your enemies, giving to the needy, fasting and much more. Matthew says, “When Jesus had finished saying these things the crowds were amazed at his teaching” (Matthew 7:28). If you want to be truly Christlike you will incorporate these transforming truths into your own life.
“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man.”
— Matthew 7:24 (NIV 1984)
Lord give us an ear to hear your words, a heart to receive, a will to obey and faith to act. In your holy name we pray. Amen.
