You cannot read Paul’s epistles without sensing his deep commitment to his friends and co-workers. He mentions them by name 178 times and well he might for they walked with him through difficulties and danger, sometimes even risking their own lives. Consider his letter to his friends in the church at Corinth.

“… you have such a place in our hearts that we would live or die with you. I have great confidence in you; I take great pride in you. I am greatly encouraged…[Titus] told us about your longing for me, your deep sorrow, your ardent concern for me, so that my joy was greater than ever.”
