I was only twenty-three years old when our daughter, Leah Starr, was born on May 27, 1970. Had I known then what I know now I would have been terrified. I had no idea that my relationship with her would shape her relationship with her heavenly Father. Nor did I realize that my words would forever shape her self-image giving her the confidence to follow her dreams or locking her in a prison of inferiority. On the day Leah was born I was too naïve to realize that I was embarking on the most import assignment of my life.
