If Jesus needed to live a God-centered life rather than a need-centered one, if He needed to practice the rhythm of life in order to remain effective in ministry and fulfilled as a person, then it only stands to reason that we do also, only more so. The pace of contemporary life simply amplifies our need for that delicate balance between work, rest, worship and play.
“I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does.”
— John 5:19
Lord Jesus, help us do only what You have called us to do – no more, but certainly no less. In Your holy name we pray. Amen.
