Several years ago I was passing through a difficult time. It was mostly my own doing, but at the time I couldn’t see that. I simply felt betrayed, wounded by the church I had chosen to serve, rejected and misunderstood by my peers. It was a complicated situation, and there is nothing to be gained by delving into the painful details. Suffice it to say that if it wasn’t for some special friends I probably would not be in the ministry today.

Lord Jesus, thank you for the special friends You have placed in my life. Help me to pass on to others the love and encouragement they shared with me. In Your holy name I pray. Amen.
