Not only does the Bible declare that Jesus is the Son of God, but it also declares He is the Son of Man. Isaiah affirms both His deity and His humanity when he writes, “For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given…(Isaiah 9:6 (NKJV). The child—the son of man—was born. The Son—the eternal preexistent Son of God—was given. Because Jesus was human, He can empathize with us. Because Jesus is divine, He intervenes for us.
“Because God’s children are human beings—made of flesh and blood—the Son also became flesh and blood… Since he himself has gone through suffering and testing, he is able to help us when we are being tested.”
— Hebrews 2:14, 18 (NLT)
Lord Jesus, intervene on our behave and deliver us from all the power of the evil one. Amen.
