The name Jehovah occurs approximately 7,000 times in the Old Testament. Here’ a few examples: “Jehovah-Jireh”—the Lord will provide (Gen 22:14). “Jehovah-Rophi”—the Lord our physician or the Lord our healer. “Jehovah-Nissi”—the Lord our banner. “Jehovah-Shalom”—the Lord our peace. And “Jehovah-Rohi”—the Lord my shepherd. Each name is an expression of who the Lord is and who He wants to for us. Do you need provision? Call on the name of the Lord who will provide. Do you need healing? Call on “Jehovah-Rophi”—the Lord our healer.
“Praise the LORD, my soul,
— Psalm 103:2-4 (NIV)
and forget not all his benefits—
who forgives all your sins
and heals all your diseases,
who redeems your life from the pit
and crowns you with love and compassion.”
Lord God almighty provide all we need—healing, forgiveness, and daily bread. Amen.
