While waiting for new tires to be put on his vehicle he overheard a telephone conversation. The customer whose conversation he couldn’t help overhearing had ruined a tire on his van and he had no way to purchase a new one. Without a word that man walked to the cashier, handed him his credit card and told him to put a new tire on the customer’s van. No big thing really but maybe, just maybe, the love of Jesus shined a little brighter in that tire shop for just a moment.
“…‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!’”
— Matthew 25:40 (NLT)
Lord Jesus, forgive me for all the times I’ve turned a blind eye to the needy ones you’ve allowed to cross my path. In Your holy name I pray. Amen.
