When we give ourselves to intercessory prayer, we join God in battling against principalities and powers, rulers of this world’s darkness and spiritual wickedness in high places (Eph. 6:12). The evil forces arrayed against us utilize many disguises, sometimes even masquerading as angels of light (2 Cor. 11:14). Some of their more effective strategies include the clever manipulation of words. They highjack noble concepts like tolerance, diversity, and inclusiveness, twisting them to promote an agenda based on values that are blatantly unscriptural. The people who have been deceived by these tactics are not our enemies but our mission.

“Opponents must be gently instructed, in the hope that God will grant them repentance…and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil.”

— 2 Timothy 2:25-26 (NIV)

Lord, help us to love our enemies into the Kingdom. Amen.
