What Jesus did on Golgotha was not only the greatest demonstration of love the world has ever seen, but also the most daring act of faith! Having voluntarily laid aside every advantage of His divine nature, (see Phil. 2:6-8) He lived life with the same limitations we all face. That means what He understood about the purpose of His life He accepted by faith alone. No wonder He sweat blood in Gethsemane before surrendering to the Father’s will.

Lord Jesus, I am totally blown away by Your outrageous love and extreme faith. Help me to respond in kind. In Your holy name I pray. Amen.
