Forgiving those who have wronged us is often a process rather than a single event. It involves at least five steps: 1) Identify your feelings; 2) Confess your feelings to God; 3) Ask God to change your feelings; 4) Pronounce forgiveness specifically; and 5) Release your feelings. We act in faith believing that God will do in us what we cannot do ourselves.

Lord Jesus, give us the strength to forgive those who have wronged us. In Your holy name we pray. Amen.
