I’ve just learned that another high-profile spiritual leader has been accused of the abuse of power and sexual sins by several women. As I consider the far-reaching ramifications should the accusations prove true I am struggling with two powerful emotions—grief and anger. I grieve for everyone involved especially the victims and the family of the accused. And I’m angry at the devil who comes to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). Paul warns us not to think it could never happen to us because it could (1 Cor. 10:12). So what can we do to protect ourselves?

Jesus protect us from the evil one and deliver us from fleshly lusts. Amen.
