Nothing reveals more about us than our calendar and our checkbook. Where we invest our time, and our money reveals what’s truly important to us. Most of us would probably say God is our highest priority followed by family, church and our work but is that really the case? To be objective let’s begin by examining our checkbooks. How we spend our money reveals what’s truly important to us. Martin Luther astutely observed, “There are three conversions necessary: the conversion of the heart, mind, and the purse (checkbook).”1

Lord Jesus, give us a generous spirit that we may freely give to Your work and to others. Amen.
