Charles Stanley says the key to victory in every spiritual battle is to “fight your battles on your knees.”2 The Lord taught me that very truth in my first pastorate. I was young and inexperienced and in short order I offended a number of congregants. In desperation I entered my small study and fell on my face before God. I pleaded with the Lord to show me what to do. After spending several days in prayer the Lord’s direction became clear and the victory was won.
If you are facing a spiritual battle, fall on your knees and seek God’s wisdom. He will show you what to do.
