When David was preparing to fight Goliath, King Saul dressed him in a coat of armor and gave him a sword. David tried walking around in the armor but soon realized they were a death trap. He wasn’t Saul and he couldn’t wear Saul’s armor. The weapons he was skilled with weren’t a sword or a spear, but a slingshot and a shepherd’s staff and his faith in the name of the Lord! To be victorious, David had to be himself.
