As Christians we contend with three primary enemies—the world, the flesh, and the devil. The devil is our ultimate enemy. He comes to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). Sometimes he tries to intimidate us by coming as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). At other times he tries to deceive us by masquerading as an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:14). Aways, he seeks our destruction. To defeat the devil we must put on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:11), submit ourselves to the Lord and resist the evil one. Do that and he will flee from us (James 4:7).
“The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet.”
— Romans 16:20 (NLT)
Do it Lord Jesus, put Satan under our feet. Amen.
