A pastoral colleague has been receiving radiation therapy for stage two cancer at MD Anderson Cancer Clinic in Houston, Texas. Although he is several hundred miles from home and away from his children, he remains faith filled. In every email he tells us of the many patients and their families that he’s been able to minister to. Under the most adverse circumstances, he radiates joy and a Christlike compassion that is an inspiration to all who know him.
“The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them;

he delivers them from all their troubles.”
Lord Jesus, give me grace like that so I can serve with joy regardless of the circumstances in which I find myself. In Your holy name I pray. Amen.
