A trysting place is where we meet with God. It may be a physical place like an empty sanctuary or a park bench, or it may be a state of mind and heart. When we lived in a cabin on Beaver Lake, my trysting place was a wooden rocker situated by the pot-bellied stove; now it’s the small study in my home. Wherever your trysting place, it will be a place to which you retreat for spiritual renewal.
“I love the house where you live, O LORD,
— Psalm 26:8
the place where your glory dwells.”
Lord Jesus, don’t allow anything – not the pressing demands of my busy life or the clamoring of others – to keep me from our appointed time. In Your holy name I pray. Amen.
