In February 1982 I received a personal prophecy: “You will receive invitations to minister in foreign countries. The Lord will put His word in your mouth and you will never lack for a word.” Although I had never ministered outside of the United States, within a few days I received invitations to minister in Brussels, Belgium and in Argentina. In the ensuing years I have ministered in many foreign countries. Personal prophecy still makes me slightly uneasy but I now accept it as a genuine spiritual gift as long as it conforms to scripture.
“For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.”
