The choices we make have consequences. 1 Peter 3:12 says, “The eyes of the LORD watch over those who do right, and his ears are open to their prayers. But the LORD turns his face against those who do evil.” If you want the Lord to watch over you and hear your prayers live a life pleasing to the Him. If you insist on doing your own thing the Lord will not bless you. Proverbs 14:12 (MSG) says, “There’s a way of life that looks harmless enough; look again—it leads straight to hell.”
“I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live.”

Lord give us the wisdom and the desire to choose life. In Your holy name we pray. Amen.
