Life on our fallen planet is a high-risk endeavor. Accidents happen. Tragedies occur. Maybe you’re in the midst of a crisis right now. After a sleepless night you have dried your tears, but on the inside it feels like you’re dying. Don’t give up! Remember God’s faithfulness. The strength to live with purpose and meaning, no matter how dark the night, can be found in His presence. You can find strength in the Lord just like David did (1 Samuel 30:6).

Lord Jesus, help us to focus on Your sufficiency rather than on our situation. No matter what we are facing, we can take heart because You have conquered the world! Help us to remember that. In Your holy name I pray, amen.
