The Bible is the most common way the Lord speaks to ordinary people like you and me, but it is not the only way. Another common way He speaks is through our thoughts or impressions. We sense or “feel impressed” that we should do or not do a certain thing. It is both a feeling and a thought. As we pay attention to that “feeling” it becomes clearer in our minds. Of course we examine the Scriptures to make sure what we are feeling lines up with the Word. If it does we move forward in obedience.

Lord Jesus, help us to hear and obey for there is no other way to please the Father. In Your holy name we pray. Amen.
