Are you struggling with doubt and staggering at the promises of God. Don’t be too hard on yourself. Doubt is not necessarily a bad thing as much as it is a real thing. We should always be careful to distinguish between doubt and unbelief. Doubt is an involuntary emotion while unbelief is an act of the will. Doubt inevitably yields to the power of His presence. Unbelief, on the other hand, hardens into rebellion. The unbeliever chooses not to believe regardless of the evidence.
“Then he said to Thomas…‘Stop doubting and believe.’ Thomas said to him, ‘My Lord and my God!’”
— John 20:27-28 (NIV)
Lord Jesus, I believe. Help me to believe more. In Your holy name I pray. Amen.
