The entirety of Christianity hinges on the Resurrection; it rises or falls depending on whether Jesus was literally resurrected. If He was physically, bodily resurrected, then Christianity is valid and so is our faith. If He was not resurrected, then Christianity is a hoax. And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins. Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ are lost.
“If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are to be pitied more than all men. But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead…”
— 1 Corinthians 15:19-20 (NIV 1984)
Lord Jesus, we remember Your sacrificial death and we celebrate Your glorious resurrection. In Your holy name we pray. Amen.
