After examining my prayer life, I can only concluded that there seems to be little or no correlation between the spiritual and emotional intensity of my prayers and their effectiveness. In truth, the power of prayer rests not in the intensity with which we pray, but in the God to whom we pray.

Lord Jesus, I dare not trust my merit or the power of the prayers I pray, or I will surely fail. When I pray help me to trust You and You alone. In Your holy name I pray. Amen.
