I believe God is near even when I cannot sense His presence. I believe He loves me even when I act in the most unloving ways. I am amazed at His patience and His persistence, but I am thankful too! I am thankful that He is a very present help in the time of trouble and that He hears me when I call, no matter how far I may have wandered or how disobedient I may have been. I am thankful that whatever concerns me concerns Him.
