The key to overcoming temptation is the way we live our lives before temptation strikes. If we wait until the enemy has us cornered before we attempt to draw upon the strength of Christ, we will likely fail. Instead, we must daily draw upon His strength so we can confront temptation from a position of spiritual strength rather than one of weakness. Even then we will likely require an infusion of spiritual power to overcome, but at least we will know where to find His help having made it a practice to go to Him daily.
