I can identify with the song writer who wrote, “O the pure delight of a single hour that before they throne I spend, when I kneel in prayer, and with thee, my God, I commune as friend with friend!” In times like that His love envelopes me and we share a holy stillness where words are unnecessary and our hearts commune each with the other.
Does your heart hunger for an experience like that? Just pause in the mad rush of living and still yourself and you will find Him there.
“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. I’ll show you how to take a real rest.”
— Matthew 11:28 (MSG)
Be nearer to us O Lord than the breath we breath. Amen.
