A young woman who worked as a maid was converted to Christ and applied for membership in the church. When she appeared before the membership committee, she was asked if there was any evidence she had truly repented of her sins. After thinking for a minute she replied, “Now I don’t sweep the dirt under the rugs in the house where I am employed.” As Christians our work is an act of worship, a way of honoring God and serving employer.
