If you are not a reader you should be. A good book renews us in a way nothing else can. I’m not talking about weighty books that tax the mind, but insightful books that touch a man’s soul—books that give him a glimpse of life in all its poignancy and passion. Books that put him in touch with God and his own life experience. Any book that can do that is worth whatever it costs and more. Only God knows how many books He has used to touch me, change me, and make me into the man He has called me to be.
