When trouble comes, the storm is often so severe that it temporarily blinds us to God’s presence. It may feel like we are totally alone, abandoned by both God and man, but we are not.
In Exodus 3:7–8, God told Moses, “I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers, and I am concerned about their suffering. So I have come down to rescue them.…”
In other words, God sees, He hears, He cares, and He is coming to rescue us.
“The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles.”
— Psalm 34:17 (NIV)
Lord Jesus, hear our cry and deliver us from this storm. In Your holy name we pray. Amen.
