The only weapons which the Christian can use against any kind of persecution are the demonstration of the Christian life, and the intelligent presentation of the Christian belief. Peter address both in his epistle. In 1 Peter 2:12 he writes, “Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God.” And in 1 Peter 3:15 writes, “Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.”
