To see God is the fulfillment of the heart’s deepest desire. Nothing else can compare with it—not wealth or fame or any other earthly thing. David writes, “One thing I ask of the Lord, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple” (Psalm 27:4). In the 26th Psalm he declares, “I love the house where you live, O Lord, the place where your glory dwells” (Psalm 26:8). Jesus said,
“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.”

Lord, only You can purify our hearts and enable us to see God. Do Your holy work so we can see God. In Your holy name we pray. Amen.
