Relationships are a high-risk endeavor. Sooner or later, there’s going to be a misunderstanding, or someone is going to get their feelings hurt. What happens next will determine the future of your relationship, whether it continues or is cast aside. When your relationship is threatened ask the Lord to reveal anything you may have done to wound your friend. If He reveals some hurtful thing apologize and seek your friend’s forgiveness. If he has betrayed your trust, ask the Lord to help you to forgive him. Lifelong relationships are rare and worth whatever effort it takes to preserve them.
