If you are battling with sexual sin, you know how easy it is to become discouraged. You have prayed and fought this battle for years with only limited success. Following yet another sinful failure, it would be easy to conclude that while God can deliver you from the eternal penalty of sin, He cannot deliver you from its present power. Although your disappointments may far outnumber you victories you must not allow personal failures to define your theology. They in no way nullify the truth of the gospel’s redemptive power. According to the Scriptures the Cross not only provides justification, but redemption and deliverance as well!
