The choices Daniel made determined the man he became—a man of moral strength and spiritual integrity. He refused to conform to the Babylonian culture (see Dan. 1:8). Today we face a similar choice. The culture is constantly trying to squeeze us into its mold. Christian values are ridiculed while political correctness has become a religion. Like Daniel we will have to take deliberate steps to maintain our spiritual integrity. There are some things we cannot partake of and some people we cannot run with without defiling ourselves.
