Do you ever have a hard time believing that the words you say to God in the privacy of your prayer closet can influence the rise and fall of governments and the course of history. I do. So often my prayers feel small and irrelevant, more like an exercise in futility than a world shaping joint venture with God. Then I remember that while my prayers may be puny my God is all powerful. I choose to believe intercessory prayer has that kind of power because the Bible says it does and history has shown it to be true.

Lord Jesus we pray for the coming of Your Kingdom and for Your will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. In Your holy name we pray, amen.
