Even though the people we pour our lives into may let us down, our acts of mercy are never wasted. Each act of love makes us more like Christ. Every act of faithful obedience is a worship gift we give to Jesus Himself. And finally, every act of ministry is an expression of God’s love—a word from Him as it were, expressing His great love and an invitation to return to Him.
“For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time has come for my departure. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”
— 2 Timothy 4:6-7
Lord Jesus, teach us to pour out our lives in ministry to others as an offering to You. In Your holy name we pray. Amen.
