During His earthly ministry Jesus demonstrated His power over nature on numerous occasions. Once the disciples were caught in a life-threatening storm. Luke 8:23 says, “A squall came down on the lake, so that the boat was being swamped, and they were in great danger.” The terrified disciples woke Jesus. “Getting to his feet, he told the wind, ‘Silence!’ and the waves, ‘Quiet down!’ They did it. The lake became smooth as glass” (verse 24 MSG).
Remember Jesus is greater than any storm you will ever face.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Lord Jesus, I am praying for that person who is caught in a life-threatening storm right now. Command the storm to cease! In Your holy name I pray. Amen.
