In Luke 8:25 the disciples ask, “Who is this man, that even the winds and waves obey him” (TLB)? Allow me to answer their question. He’s the seed of woman who came to bruise the serpent’s head. He’s the Passover lamb who came to deliver his people from bondage. He’s Isaiah’s suffering servant upon whom was laid the iniquity of us all. He’s the lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. He’s the good shepherd who lays down his life for the sheep. He’s the risen savior who has conquered death, hell and the grave. He is the author and finisher of our faith.

Lord Jesus, You are my savior and my king. I will worship you all the days of my life. In Your holy name I pray. Amen.
