If you want to be conformed to the image of Christ, you will have to follow Him. When He called the twelve, He said, “Follow me and I will make you fishers of men” (Mark 1:17 NIV 1984). His first statement was a command, and His second statement was a promise. He commands us to take up our cross and follow Him. If we do, He promises to make us into the persons He has called us to be. So, what does it mean to follow Jesus? It means you surrender your rights. You go where He goes, and you do what He does.

Lord Jesus, make me the man You have called me to be. Amen.
